According to a recent Late Deals survey, 79% of couples questioned said they had at least two big arguments on a fortnight-long break, with a whopping 62% saying they argued every day!
Five of the top 10 most popular reasons cited for causing arguments were;
- Disagreements over activities/what to do
- Where and what to eat
- One partner drinking too much alcohol
- Map reading and driving
- Spending too much cash.
As our focus is on making sure that our customers have a relaxing and enjoyable time on their WOW Scotland tour, we scratched our heads and had a think about how we could help….
Luckily for all you couples out there, we have come up with a fantastic (well, we think so anyway!) solution, and are delighted to introduce The Whisky Bus and our Highland & Speyside Explorer Tour! These tours will run in parallel, on the same dates, at the same times and on the same coach…but the two very different itineraries are specifically tailored to keep both partners happy!
The men/malt fans will be treated to a jam-packed day of distillery tours and malt tastings. At each distillery you will enjoy a unique experience, from the in-depth tour and tasting at Tomatin, to a walk-through of the world’s biggest whisky producer, Glenlivet, and from a special WOW warehouse tasting at Glenfarclas, to an exclusive triple tasting and video at Glenfiddich. For malt fans, this is true paradise!
Meanwhile, on the same coach but following a different route, the ladies/sightseeing fans will be given a guided tour of the famous Culloden Battlefield, followed by a visit to Clava Cairns, a Bronze Age cemetery (where Outlander fans should definitely watch out for the split stone buzzing!!) Travelling through idyllic countryside, and skirting the Cairngorms National Park, we will then head to Glenlivet, where your guide will take you on a scenic walk to Drumin Castle, a hidden gem in the heart of Speyside. From there we will head on to the Knockando Woolmill to find out about the art of spinning and weaving, and for an irresistible shopping opportunity, before finishing off at romantic “Pearl of the North” Ballindalloch Castle, and its lush gardens.
So, no disagreements about activities, lunch is tailored to the preferences of each group, whisky fans will have plenty of snacking opportunities to keep them sober (-ish!), our comfortable coach and experienced driver will navigate the windy country roads, and both tours have an all-inclusive price, so absolutely no excuse for arguments!
In conclusion, a fantastic day out in Speyside with regular summer departures from Inverness.
