Our Favourite Singer

Gordon with Donnie Munro

Gordon with Donnie Munro

The core WOW office team of Gordon and Kay have had the pleasure of seeing the Highland legend of Donnie Munro play 3 times over the last few years. A few years ago he performed an amazing solo concert in the village of Ullapool, and we even had a chance to meet him after the gig. He then made a special guest appearance at the Runrig 40th Anniversary gig to sing a couple of songs with his old band – legendary! He is perhaps most famous for leading Runrig in their live rendition of Loch Lomond which is played all over the world on Hogmannay (New Year’s Eve).

Donnie Munro features in the following fantastic albums (to name but a few!);

Loch Lomond (Live) – Long Distance (Runrig)
Weaver of Grass – Donnie Munro
Alba (Live) – The Collection (Runrig)
